For Internal Leak Detection System
Robust design with working pressure from 0.5 to 6.0 Bar.
Different sizes for pipes with internal diameters ranging from 10mm to 45mm.
The Ferret can pass easily through most types of fitting such as couplers and tees.

The Ferret Leak Location System is for use in pipes with internal diameters from 10mm (3/8”) to 45mm (1 3/4”). There are five different size Ferret's for this range of pipes. The table shows the dimensions of the Ferret's and the recommended pipe diameters that they should be used in.
When selecting the correct size Ferret consider the following:
The less a Ferret is inflated the lower the chance of it bursting.
Always use the biggest size possible.
Allow for liners/inserts in joints and fittings, which will have a smaller internal diameter than the pipe.
How Ferret Works:
The Ferret Head is put inside the leaking water pipe. The Ferret Head is attached to the main system by a 1800 ft long umbilical cord. To start with, the Ferret Head is deflated so that water in the pipe can get past it to the leak.
The Ferret Head is then inflated with water. When the pressure in the Ferret Head is higher than in the leaking pipe, it blocks the pipe. No water can get past it to the leak.
Next, the pressure inside the Ferret Head is reduced. When the right balance is reached between the pressures in the Ferret Head and the leaking pipe, the water in the pipe pushes the Ferret Head towards the leak.
When the Ferret Head passes a leak, some of the water in the pipe escapes through the hole. The pressure force pushing the Ferret Head drops so the Ferret Head automatically stops moving.
